Oils!!!

I have been trying new oils lately and found a new one my hair likes. It`s Avocado oil. My hair feels nice after sealing with it. I`m also using Coconut oil and Extra Virgin Olive oil. The Coconut oil is very light and a little goes a long way. It smells nice too. Extra Virgin Olive oil will always be a staple. Which oils are your favorite?

My hair refuses to hold a curl! Relaxer Update & Set Back!

I relaxed my hair Sept 2 and I did my usual routine. I air dried and then flat ironed it. After that I curled it with my big curler in spiral curls. Before I got a chance to curl the other side of my head the curls would be almost gone. I clipped my ends, Well.... You can say I cut my hair cause I took 2 1/2 inches off of some parts of my horrible looking ends. I just cut them a couple months ago but this time I tried to get rid of all the nasty looking tips. My hair is no where near even. LOL. I chopped it up bad. My left side has always been longer than my right but this time you can really tell, so I keep my hair in buns until it grows out.

I started using MTG again to help speed up the growth process. Just found a local store that has the 32oz bottle for $15! I no longer have to spend $25+ for it online. So I applied it twice starting last weekend. Going to use it Sunday and Wednesday after wash days. Going to do this until Mid Dec then Im going to relax my hair and the end of Dec.

Im hoping to be BSL again by Dec. Right now Im only APL so I had a HUGE set back. I does not bother me that much cause I want healthy hair more than anything. I need to look for a product that helps with porosity control. I never used anything like it before and maybe thats what my hair needs right now. Any recommendations?

Leave any suggestion you might have. HHG Ladies!!!

Aphogee

I ran out of one my favorite products a while ago and forgot all about it. I just remembered when I seen my sister buy some. So I went and picked up the shampoo for damaged hair and the Keratin & Green Tea Reconstructurizer. I'm missing the provitamin leave-in which I love so much. The store didn't have it.

I never used the shampoo for damaged hair, so I can't wait to try it. Im hoping my hair likes it.

Have any of you used it before? How did it make your hair feel?

MTG Hair Update

Just wanted to update y'all on my hair. Well things are going good. New growth is out of control! I have not been using it every other day like I intended to. Been using it like 2 days a week. Trying to get use to the smell but its going to be a while. The smell seems more potent for some reason. I love the the texture of my new growth. I'm always playing with the waves.

I have been cowashing weekly with tresseme extra moisture conditioner. Its doing good on my hair. I let it sit on my hair for a couple hours then wash it out and wash my scalp with it while in the shower twice. Detangling process was good. So I'm going to keep this routine going.

Well thats my quick update. Will check back in soon.

Started Using MTG

So I am back on it yall. MTG is a product by shapley's for those that don't know. Look it up on google for all the info. Going to see how much growth I can get in 3 months. I will take photos monthly to track how much growth I'm getting. I'm freshly relaxed as yall know. I'm going to need to get some more MTG, but what I have should last, since a little is all that is needed to apply to your scalp. If you would like to join me in this challenge help yourself. Just comment on what your routine if going to be while using it. I'm going to be using it every other night and using Wave Nouveau Finishing Lotion to moisturize or S-Curl since they are a little heavier. Sealing with coconut oil. Lets see how much growth I get. I'm hopping it's just as good this time around compared to when I started using it at the beginning of my hair journey. We will see...

Managing your ends

What are you doing to maintain those ends while wearing your hair down? I know I don't want to go through another trimming session anytime soon. Trimming an inch and a half or more (I call it a cut) is not something you want to do too often when you're trying to grow your hair. I moisturize at night and seal, but I don't think that's enough. I have not used heat again after relaxing. Maybe its time to start wearing protective styles now. I guess I enjoyed my hair enough. I'm thinking of bunning it up for 3 months straight. I might even use mtg while I'm bunning. I know my new growth will be out of control after the first month but I know all about how to handle that. I will post starting pics after the break. I'm going to try to use only this army shirt to track my progress. I would like to cover up the entire logo by the end of the year.

New Look!

If you have not noticed, I have changed the look of Hairstrandz. Its a more sleeker look. I took away the design that was in the background cause it seemed to distract from the blogs. It was just too much going on. What do you think of the new look?

Facebook Fan Page!

I started a HairStrandz fan page and would like all of you to support me.

Finally Relaxed!!!

Relaxer day finally arrived. I relaxed on 3/8/11. I had a setback and did not keep any of the growth I had. I also lost some thickness. For some reason I'm not even mad about it cause it was all my fault. I neglected my hair and knew the consequences of doing so and ignored it. I consider this a lesson learned.

Quick Update

I'm hoping to relax my hair some time today, which will be about 6 months post relaxer. Look for the pics coming soon. My bangs are gone as in fell out! I'm not sure why that happened but hoping to get them back on track by Sept. I need a major trim that I might do myself cause I just don't trust anyone else. If I mess up I can only blame myself. So wish me luck. I'm hoping I did not lose much length. We will see. Be back a lil later.

Some REAL Online Money

I know you are tired of hearing about these online job opportunities that either require a fee or a Twitter or Facebook account. Then on top of that people have to click the links in order for you to earn money. It can be very annoying and time consuming.

Well finally here is a site that you just might like. The company is ChaCha. I know some of you may have heard of them and others may not have. Either way this is a real job to make money while sitting at home.

ChaCha was founded in 2006. ChaCha's mobile answers text service launched Jan 2008. This is a fairly new company that is growing quickly.

I have been an independent contractor for about 2 yrs. I work when I want for as long as I would like. No clocking in, no set hrs, no minimum balance before withdrawing your money, Which can either be paid monthly through your bank account or immediately through the debit card supplied.

A lot of people pay their bills with the money they make ChaCha'n.

The process is very simple. 1st you put in your application. Then you apply for the guide role you want or whatever is available. Once that is done you will watch a series of videos explaining ChaCha and its business and the different roles. There will be 3 question tests to follow each short video. After you have completed all steps including the multiple question test that you MUST pass to move on to the next step(must be fast at searching and finding the answer. Use a new tab) The final test is the actual live question test. You have to handle 10 questions the way they showed you in the previous videos. Once you are done with 10 they will tell you to sign out and they will email you your results. That was torture for me. I was nervous the entire time but it was so simple. Just have to pay attention.

Now here is the link and info to put into the application.

Click Here to apply. When you get to the box that says: ChaCha Guide Referral Email Address, put my email lalaa718@yahoo.com Make sure you type in my email. Copy and paste wont always work. I will add you as a friend and help you out if you need it. Any questions or concerns you may have. So add that email and you can message me from you profile.

Openings are limited so you must move fast before they close applications.

What are you waiting for?!? Go Go Go!!! LOL. Let me know how things go. The pic below is my actual Visa debit card from ChaCha. Yes this site if official and is NOT a scam!

Got2b Smooth Operator - Smoothing Lustre Lotion

I know its been a while but Im back with another review!!!

I was given a coupon for a free bottle of Got2b Smooth Operator - Smoothing Lustre Lotion from BzzAgent. Its a leavin lotion that shapes, smoothes, controls flyaways and softens. Its does not weigh your hair down and protects against heat. It also contains a UV protectant! A great plus to have during this heat. I used this a couple of times on wet and dry hair and it leaves my hair feeling pretty good. I really like using this when I do my braid or bantu knot out. Leaves my hair feeling moisturized during the day. This product also smells yummy which is a plus. Give it a try and tell me what you think of it. I usually add the ingredients at the end of my review but its been making my posts long so I wont be doing it unless requested. Until next time....MUAHHHH

Relaxed my hair after 9 months post (Quick Update)

Yep I relaxed. I didnt take any length pics yet but I will. I relaxed on the 2nd of June. Here is two pics of how I wore my hair to my baby sis graduation. The humidity got the best of my hair. I used flexirods (grey ones) all over and a magnetic roller on my bang. I will do this style again soon and will take pics before going outside. lol. Oh and whoever said flexirods = no sleep was not lying. They are worse than sleeping with bantu knots all over your head. But the results were great so I will go through it again :) Well I just wanted to update yall on whats been going on. Oh yeah I had my daughter on the 25th of May exactly 3 weeks ago. Im back now so look forward to more YouTube vids and blog posts. Until next time.....Happy Hair Growing!
