I finally relaxed my hair.

I got my relaxer after stretching it for 7 months. I like my results! The stretch did my hair very well. The pics above are progress pics i been keeping. There is nothing like pics to show you your results. I know i was amazed when i compared them to my previous pics.

My Products

I have tried so many products in my journey of hair care. I come to like a few. One of the products i consider my staple is a moisturizer. Its S-Curl. Yes the jerry curl activator! Its an excellent moisturizer and is even better when you seal your hair with EVOO(extra virgin olive oil). You dont have to use this certain oil but i do. The meaning of sealing your hair is basically applying oil to your hair after moisturizing. It helps keep the moisture locked in. Some people just seal the ends of their hair. When i seal my hair put a shower cap on my head and tie it down with a satin scarf.

Speaking of satin scarfs it is also my staple. I dont use cotton scarfs ever. Satin or silk scarfs prevent your hair from breakage from rubbing against a cotton pillow case. If you dont like to wear scarfs when going to bed you can buy a silk or satin pillow case.

Now when it comes to my shampoos i like pantene relaxed and naturals. My hair just feels so soft when i use it. As for conditioners i like a few. I like the pantene relaxed and natural conditioner and the mane and tail conditioner. I also use the sunsilk conditioner in the pink bottle. They all are great.

For deep conditioners there is only one and that the Organic Root Stimulator olive oil replenishing pak. Its a deep penetrating conditioner. It also helps restore moisture and rebuild damage hair. Its a yellow pack and is enough for one use. This product makes my hair feel so moisturized. When i use it i sit under the dryer for about 45 mins to an hour. I then rinse it out. I usually air dry my hair but when i gets colder i will be blow drying to avoid getting sick.

I dont usually flat iron my hair but since my birthday is coming up i will for that occasion. I was using the motions heat protectant (protects your hair from getting damaged from the heat) but didnt like the way it made my hair feel afterwards. My hair was so sticky and felt so nasty. So for the first time after my next relaxer this week, i will use a different one called Fantasia IC Heat Protectant Straightening Serum. I heard alot of good things about this. So i will let you know how it turns out. Another heat protectant im dying to try is the CHI Silk Infusion. I heard nothing but great things aboout this product and seen the results it gives. It gives your hair the light feel and the bounce to go with it.

I just bought some of the aphogee products cause i heard they were so great. I will be trying those on relaxer day also. The ones i do have is the Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor(For dry, brittle hair with cuticle and cortex damage requires special help. Aphogee keratin Reconstuctor provides a weekly regimen that can be precribed for home use between salon visits), Balancing Moisturizer (The moisturizer corrects hair's moisture balance, improves shine and manageability), Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer ( The ultimate one step strengthing treatment that prevents hair breakage and spplit ends), And the Pro Vitamin Leave In (is a deep penetrating leave in conditioner that fortifies limp, lifeless hair creating superior body).

I use the Lotta Body Wrap Foam once. I might use it again this week cause i didnt get to see the results of it since i used the motions heat protect that time and didnt like the feel of my hair.

Another product i like and need to get more of is the Elasta QP Glaze. This product would slick down my edges so good. Even when im months into my relaxer stretch. This is a must have.

I also tried growth aids aswell. I will post what i have tried and what have and have not work for me. So check back soon for that post.

My Hair Regimen

OK first off this is what "I" do and i am not a licensed beautician. I am going let that be known with each of my post. With that said here is my regimen.

I am relaxed. I relax my hair every 6mo. I wash my hair every week, sometimes every 2 weeks with my hair braided. I use minimal products on my hair. I moisturize daily and deep condition with every wash. Sometimes i will deep condition over night with a plastic cap and a scarf (satin). I wear wigs all the time which help with stretching my relaxer. I keep my hair in big box braids about 8 or maybe 10 cornrows going straight back under my wigs. I try not to comb my hair unless i am detangling, i don't use a brush. I dont massage my scalp as much as i should but will start back cause its good for promoting growth. Well thats all i do. I will discuss the produts i use in my next post.

I currently trying to start my own business which is designing beautiful handcrafted beaded jewelry. I will post here as soon as it get that up and running.

I'm also into growing and maintaining healthy hair. I will be discussing the products i use and what worked for me. I will also be sharing products that have great reviews that i have not tried. But please remember this is what "I" do. I'm not a licensed beautician nor am i in the medical field.

I have a real problem when i comes to products. I'm what you would call a "product junkie". I have to try just about any and everything. If it has gotten good reviews then i want to see what results i would get from it if any.

So that's it for now. Keep checking back for new reviews .

I'm not a licensed beautician. I'm just giving my reviews on products i have tried.
